Oregano
Oregano is high in antioxidants and flavonoids and is reported as an antimicrobial. It’s a delicious addition to any dish, smells wonderful and this pungent herb is a rich source of vitamins A, C, and K coupled with Omega-3s, calcium, iron, manganese, and dietary fibre.
You might be wondering is oregano good for dogs? This non-toxic herb has been used to help dogs with digestive problems, diarrhoea, and gas. Research using oil of oregano has also shown anti-fungal properties.
Benefits of Oregano:
Cleanse your dog’s body due to its strong antibacterial, anti-fungal, and antiviral properties
Reduce inflammation and swelling
Alleviate arthritis
Destroy free radicals.
Too much of a good thing can be bad for your dog though. These are some symptoms to watch out for if your dog has a little too much:
Depression
Diarrhoea
Tummy upset
Vomiting
If you’re uncertain or if your dog is displaying some of these symptoms right after consuming oregano, do seek consultation with your veterinarian.
