“Specially made for a particular customer”
Every now and again, we are given the opportunity to customize Kuro Snacks to suit the specific needs of our customers’ dogs. Nothing gives us more joy than to co-create with our customers. And whilst we haven’t really spoken about this in detail, we’d thought it would be great to shed some more light on Bespoke Kuro Snacks. We aim to please and for every customer, we understand that their dog can have special requirements.
Elimination Of Ingredients
So, from our Bespoke Kuro Snacks page, you’ve seen how we are able to provide custom orders where we would remove an ingredient or two. For example, the removal of Cinnamon from Gyū/Beef, by request of a customer, where cinnamon doesn’t sit well with her dogs. We do this because we don’t want our dogs to feel deprived in any way. The Birth of Minto
A best kept secret, but Minto/Mint came about because one of our customers felt that they wanted snacks for their dog to serve many functions, as a treat for their dog when their dog was good, but at the same time to help with her bad breath, however, their dog also couldn’t eat meat due to a pre-existing condition. We created Minto to do just that. Funny story, through our formulation process, we came up with the first version that was actually vegan, which worked well for this particular customer, just not other customers. As a consequence, through refinement of our recipe and process, the eventual Minto ended up being vegetarian but palatable for most customers’ dogs.
Beef in Bites Format
Some senior dogs love their Beef, but are unable to bite into harder dehydrated meat. As a consequence, a customer of ours, requested for it to be in our Bites format, where they tend to be easier to bite into (pardon the pun), and basically explode in the mouth with full flavor. Thus, we created Rebā/Beef & Liver Bites to not only create a version of beef that’s easier for senior dogs to consume but provide them the nutrition they may need with a mix of Beef Liver added as well.
Salmon
As we try to ensure we provide the best quality Kuro Snacks, we wanted to make sure we could do justice with Salmon. We have been providing this as a Bespoke Kuro Snacks but have only just decided to make it available for everyone to purchase as well. Instead of just one, we’re actually releasing two Salmon products. Sake/Salmon in Classic Meat format and Sake Hitokuchi/Salmon Bites in Bites format. Providing the two bespoke options to any customer who’s dog prefers salmon in either format.
